Project 1 | Prototype Design - Digital Resume/CV

Instruction:

In this first part of the assignment, you will focus on creating a UI design prototype for your digital resume or curriculum vitae (CV) using prototyping software such as Adobe XD or Figma. The UI design prototype will showcase the layout, visual elements, and user interface interactions of your digital resume.

Evaluation Criteria:

Your UI design prototype assignment will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Clarity and effectiveness of the UI design, layout, and visual elements.
• Appropriateness of the chosen typography, color palette, and imagery.

For this project, I decided to design the prototype using Figma as it is an easier software to use. 

Before diving into creating the digital prototype, I began with a careful analysis of the CV's overall organization and visual hierarchy. I looked for some inspiration that can inspire me on the design of my digital CV.

Then, I started to sketch out the layout designs (wireframes) that I had in mind. I created six sketches, which can be seen from the pictures attached below:

After finishing with the wireframes' sketches, I chose combine sketch #3 and #6 since I believe both layouts can produce a fantastic outcome for my digitized prototype. I really liked both design and organization which create a great visual hierarchy.

REFLECTION

This project's journey has been an insightful experience as it introduces me to a new software platform known as 'Figma'. The features of 'Figma' have been very helpful in creating my prototype CV as they allow for seamless design and interaction. They made it simple for me to create wireframes, which enabled me to create layouts that clearly showed the informations. I truly enjoyed designing my prototype using 'Figma' as it perfectly complies with the current design principles, which smoothly conveys the details of the information that I wrote. Thus, I have no trouble on designing my prototype and I am satisfied with the outcome.
