Osaka Trip Reflection

Day 1:
We traveled to Osaka, Japan, for our study trip to gather data related to our group's respective topics. Our stay lasted for six days. Upon our arrival in Osaka in the morning, we checked into the Best Western Fino Osaka hotel. After unpacking our luggage and freshening up, we had some free time to explore the surroundings and prepare for the activities scheduled for the following day.

Day 2:
For the next day, we went to visit Cup Noodles Museum and even I even made my cup noodle's design. After that, me and my teammates spent the day visiting various temples renowned for their historical significance. As I stood before the ancient structures, I couldn't help but marvel at the profound sense of peace that surrounded me. Each temple visit offered a unique glimpse into Japan's rich religious heritage.

Day 3:
On the third day, we went to Kyoto for the culture exploration. Me and my teammates went to visit various shrines and temples in order to collect data for our topic. As I observed worshippers praying and purchasing omamori at the temple grounds, I gained a deeper appreciation for the role these amulets play in Japanese society. They serve as tangible reminders of faith and protection, offering comfort and reassurance in times of uncertainty. Exploring Kyoto's temples also provided me with a deeper understanding of Japanese spirituality and religious practices.

Day 4:
The fourth day was the busiest day, as it was filled with activities. We started off visiting Osaka Castle, which I finally got a chance to see sakura in real life. After that, we went ahead to visit the Osaka City Museum of Housing and Living. Our itinerary took an exciting turn as we ventured into the realm of digital art at TeamLab Osaka. The captivating blend of technology and creativity mesmerized me, offering a modern interpretation of Japanese culture that was both exhilarating and thought-provoking. Exploring the interactive exhibits, I felt a sense of wonder and awe at the boundless possibilities of artistic expression in the digital age.

Day 5:
On the last day, we were given free time to explore Osaka on our own. Me and my friends decided to go to Universal Studio Japan as we wanted to visit the Harry Potter's theme park and play all the thrilling rides. When we arrived at USJ, I was quite surprised how crowded it was even though we went during weekday. Nonetheless, I had the best time there as it washed down my stresses away (even though it was raining and the ticket price was pricey).

Day 6:
Finally, it's time to say goodbye to Osaka and fly back to Kuala Lumpur. Our flight was early in the morning and it was pretty exhausting. Overall, this trip has been an absolute blast for me, and I'm pretty sure my group mates feel the same way. We've basically been glued together, exploring Osaka for almost a week straight. It's been a great chance to bond and get to know each other better. Plus, I've made some awesome new friends along the way, which has enhanced the study trip.
